Lane Mendelsohn’s involvement in the financial markets began in the mid 1980s, when he joined his father, Louis Mendelsohn - a pioneer in trading software and founder of VantagePoint AI. From his teenage years, Lane traveled with his father to conferences and industry meetings, gaining first hand exposure to trading, financial analysis, and key industry leaders.
Building VantagePoint AI
Over the years, Lane played an active role in almost every area of the business. His contributions included:
Sales and marketing initiatives
Research and development efforts
Trader education programs
Web development and online resources
Recruiting and staff training
Day to day company management
This hands on involvement helped him build a deep understanding of both the company and the broader trading software industry.
Recognition and Achievements
Lane’s leadership and dedication have been widely recognized.
In 2009, Tampa Bay Business Journal named him one of their “30 Under 30” Up & Comers, celebrating young professionals excelling in business and community contributions.
He has been featured in Keeping Stock, Benzinga, Entrepreneur, Podcast Network, and U.S. News & World Report.
Lane also appeared on Fox Business and was interviewed by Kevin Harrington, the original Shark from Shark Tank, about VantagePoint Software’s impact.
Leadership at VantagePoint AI
In 2018, Lane became the President of VantagePoint AI. On April 6 of that year, his father commemorated the moment by writing the final entry in his long kept journal:
“Today, my son becomes President.” This milestone reflected Lane’s years of focus, determination, perseverance, and passion for the financial markets.
Life Outside the Office
When not leading VantagePoint AI, Lane enjoys life on his ranch in Wesley Chapel with his wife, Mandi, and their daughters, Rachael and Abby. Together, they raise and breed farm animals. While Lane finds peace in this rural lifestyle, his entrepreneurial mindset never fades, he’s always ready to seize a good opportunity.
Commitment Beyond Business
Lane believes in giving back to the community. He actively supports charitable organizations, including Shriners Hospitals for Children, continuing the family tradition of service and philanthropy.
