Abby Mendelsohn Picks Up Our Tradition of Paying It Forward
I was so happy to share with you a few weeks ago about my daughter Rachael and her backpack project with my team here at Vantagepoint. (Here’s a link if you missed it.) Well, my younger daughter Abby informed us that she wanted to take on a project too!
Abby decided she wanted to make difference in our community with my team too and it was easy to find a project – she loves shoes! She decided that she would help donate shoes and socks for kids in our community who need them.
One thing about Abby, she is irresistible! My team got behind her in a BIG way. Abby worked with our VantagePoint Team and with the local charity 2 Good Soles and together we were able to donate 350 pairs of shoes and 700 pairs of socks!
The local news featured Abby too.
An interesting note about Abby – a few years ago she was interviewed about our Core Values. Both of my girls understand how important these are to us as a family and to our company family too. Abby added her own extra value to the list: Kindness. She said that was what she loves most about our team at Vantagepoint – their kindness. I’m so proud of Abby, she really is a good soul.
I love seeing my girls inspire each other to greatness. It’s a great feeling knowing that 350 more people in our community will have new shoes that fit and socks so “they don’t get blisters!”
